About the Foundation

The Paula B. and Oliver W. Jones Family Scholarship is a scholarship program to promote education, humanitarian efforts and self–esteem in young people. If we enable one individual who, as an adult, makes a positive contribution to society, we have made a difference in the world.

The Foundation will award scholarships to high school students in grades 10, 11, and 12, with 15 scholarships available at each grade level. Students in grade 10 will receive $1,000 scholarships, those in grade 11 will receive $1,500 scholarships, and those in grade 12 will receive $2,000 scholarships. Selection will be based on eligibility criteria outlined in the section: Application Information.

Recipients will receive an award that is deferred for college. The award money will be held in trust for the recipient. The scholarship will be paid to the college, university, trade or business school on the recipient’s behalf when the student matriculates. Students may earn multiple Jones Family Foundation Scholarships, by applying at each grade level (10–12) of high school.

Presently, scholarships are limited to qualified students enrolled in schools within San Diego county, California.
