“What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us. And when we bring what is within out into the world, miracles happen.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

The Paula B. and Oliver W. Jones Family Scholarship is a scholarship program to promote education, humanitarian efforts and self–esteem in young people. If we enable one individual who, as an adult, makes a positive contribution to society, we have made a difference in the world.
The Foundation will award $1,000 scholarships to high school students in grades 10, 11, and 12. At least ten scholarships will be awarded at each grade level. Selection will be based on eligibility criteria as described under the section: Application Information.
Recipients will receive an award that is deferred for college. The $1,000 will be held in trust for the recipient. The scholarship will be paid to the college, university, trade or business school on the recipient’s behalf when the student matriculates. Students may earn multiple Jones Family Foundation Scholarships, by applying at each grade level (10–12) of high school.
Presently, scholarships are limited to qualified students enrolled in schools within San Diego county, California.
